Rafters complete.

The rafters are now reinforced. The beams are the ones we are keeping and will be inside the ceiling. The new wood to the right shows the  angle of the raised ceiling. The old ceiling was under those huge beams. Bill has stubbed out the 3 areas for skylights and we are finishing up the lighting plan. We have the estimate for spray foam insulation between the roof and the new drywall. We will probably put up the drywall ourselves but have the expert do the mudding and sanding for the best ceiling finish. As you can imagine due to the ceiling currently being just plywood and shingles the room gets quite chilly at night.
